This is different.”Igor folded his hands.“Never have I met someone so completely detached from the danger she places herself in. It's as if the warning signs never register. No instinct telling her to stop. No voice asking whether she should.”“What is she? Naive?”“I don't think so.”He paused.“She lacks knowledge, but that isn't unusual. What concerns me is that she seems to lack memory as well. Not literally. She remembers facts, names, places. But experiences don't seem to settle inside her. Mistakes leave no mark. Lessons don't become caution.”His colleague remained silent.“She drifts from one situation to the next and somehow manages to cling on.
